Can you imagine you and I contributing something positive to the world by me typing and you reading this?
Let's list the possibilities:
1. Enlightenment (depending on what we are writing and who is reading).
2. Power consumption (what is your carbon footprint?)
3. Maybe we are just shifting around dollars momentarily from the ad budgets of companies like Disney or HomeDepot (advertisers) to us (publishers) via Google (middle man) so that we can then return those ad dollars back to the companies in the form of higher prices for their products and services. Did I leave out the venture capitalists, endowment funds, investment banks, accountants, lawyers, healthcare companies or Wal-mart? Oops.

The economics of Web 2.0
Wow! So this is what it is like to donate my time to you readers and Google's coffers at the same time...what a privilege!
Let's see if blogging and tagging and networking and widgeting and interacting through machines is such an addicting or fulfilling experience that I can actually waste a lifetime doing it. Have I joined you in the blogosphere at about the time you predicted I would be here? Am I playing along as expected?
